Lightweight summer leather jacket – playful yet classic
How was this summer leather jacket created? I lived in Dubai for a while and it’s very warm there, at least outside. Inside the restaurants and malls, the air conditioning systems made for almost freezing temperatures. As I didn’t always want to wrap my neck in a scarf, because I was mainly cold at the back of my neck and shoulders, I came up with the shape of Cocoony! Worn over a tank top or with a light summer blouse, the light summer leather jacket can be combined very well. The front creates a look that is reminiscent of a blazer without being too tight and constricting. The back, on the other hand, is light and playful. For me, the new interpretation of a summer scarf. The back of the jacket is made from 100% washed silk. Like leather, silk is a protein-based natural product and therefore harmonizes wonderfully with light leather. Playful ruffles at the back create a light, summery silhouette. The width of the jacket can be adjusted with ties at the back hem. The jacket is equipped with two side pockets. The jacket or cape, depending on how you wear the product, can be combined in many different ways. It is particularly beautiful in summer over a spaghetti strap shirt or tank top. It makes you feel more dressed, especially if you want to go to a restaurant or bar and have been sunbathing beforehand. But it also goes perfectly with any kind of pants. The indicated lapel makes the look more formal, although the cape itself is very light and airy. We used the lightest suede leather we could find. It is called Metiz leather and is a lambskin suede. The inner lining and the entire back are made of pre-washed silk. This preliminary treatment gives the silk its matt, silky sheen. To care for the leather, we recommend a light impregnation with our tested impregnation spray. The leather used comes from Europe and is manufactured to the highest standards. All our producers and suppliers are certified by the Leather Working Group. Like all our leathers, this leather is also a by-product of the food industry. The jacket is elaborately handcrafted in Europe.
