Easily remove grease stains from leather with the grease remover spray!

In contrast to pigmented smooth leather, open-pored smooth leather (aniline leather) and all types of suede (nubuck, buffalo or suede) absorb all liquids. Substances containing grease or oil in particular soak into the leather and leave behind unsightly stains or, over time, spots. As these substances are absorbed into the leather, they cannot be removed with “normal” water-based leather cleaners. In many cases, additional edges are created and the condition is aggravated.

The grease remover spray is a solvent-based spray with an added white absorption powder. The solvent dissolves the oils and fats and the absorption powder then absorbs them.

The grease remover spray is the first choice for fresh stains in particular.

Brief overview
If grease or oil gets onto open-pored leather (aniline leather, suede), these stains are absorbed into the material and cannot be cleaned easily. The grease remover spray is a solvent-based spray with an added white absorption powder. The solvent dissolves the oils and fats and the absorption powder then absorbs them.
Areas of application

Car, steering wheel, furniture, bags and suitcases, leather clothing, shoes and boots

The grease remover spray is the first choice for fresh stains in particular. For more extensive and older stains, the grease absorber paste is an option. If in doubt, always consult us and email photos of the property.

Typical areas of application

Speckled areas in the headrest, armrest or seat area of furniture.
Contact surfaces with the skin in pockets.
Bold collars on leather clothing.
Fresh oil or grease stains.
The chances of success of a cleaning attempt depend on many factors:

Treatment is most promising for fresh stains. The larger and greasier the areas are (especially in the case of furniture or clothing collars that have been stained over many years), the less hope there is of complete removal of the soiling.
The more oil and grease there is in the leather, the less chance there is of easy cleaning. A few splashes are easier to remove than a leaking bottle.
Oils are thinner than grease and are therefore easier to remove from the leather.
Colored or contaminated oils or greases (colored lamp oil, used oil, grease from hinges or bicycle chains) or mixtures of various substances (sauces, ketchup, chocolate, cream, etc.) are more difficult to remove than clean oils or greases.
Unsuccessful and incorrect cleaning attempts can easily increase the damage.

Always check all products for changes in a concealed place first. The greasy area is sprayed overlapping with the grease remover spray. The white absorption powder is then allowed to dry completely. The powder is then vacuumed off and any residue carefully wiped away. The process is repeated until there is no further improvement or the stains are removed. The surrounding area can be protected from the powder by covering the stain-free area.

Sometimes the stains come through again after a few days because the oil has been absorbed deep into the leather. In such cases, repeat the procedure. The chances of permanently removing the stains in such cases are good.

If dark areas remain, you can try to lighten them further after a few hours by stretching the leather. Light areas can be darkened by applying care products very sparingly and carefully. Always test in the concealed area first and, if in doubt, always ask a specialist company for advice!
